About Cherie
Hi everyone ️ This is my 12th year teaching. Wow, school is 12 years not including Kindergarten. I'm a senior all over again this year! Anyways, I digress. I graduated with a Master's in Community Counseling from Capella University before I knew I wanted to teach. Once I realized teaching was my calling, I went back to school and received my Master's in Elementary Education from University of Southern California. I have taught all subjects and most grades in elementary school. I'm a Level 5 teacher (the highest level in my district based on student growth and proficiency as well as evaluations). Most importantly, I am confident that we'll have fun together while you master lessons, become a more proficient reader, strengthen comprehension and critical thinking skills, and further develop character and confidence.

I enjoy fun and engaging lessons probably more than my students. I teach reading, ELA, science, social studies and math. I love getting to know my students interest and personalities. It makes learning more fun and effective when we all respect and value each other.
