I’ve known Phenese my whole life, not only as my mother but as my art teacher as well. What I appreciate most about her teaching methods is that she is able to break each art piece down step by step using relatable examples and shapes that anyone can make until we put everything together and create the most beautiful abstract paintings. She makes the process easy and simple as if we were creating a simple drawing and then you get amazed at the results. I remember when she was helping me paint a landscape and I was struggling because I didn’t know where to start. Then Phenese stepping in and helped me by telling me step by step what shapes to draw like triangles for the trees and a circle for the sun and once I blended the colors and put everything together it was a beautiful landscape that i didn’t even know I was capable or creating. She is amazingly talented and creative. Her teaching styles are unique and makes anything hard or difficult seem very easy like a kindergartener could make it just as easy. When she teaches art, you can tell it’s her passion by the way she expresses herself and the way she talks in general. She is a very clear speaker, patient, and easy to work with.
