About Rory
I have a Masters of Engineering from the University of Manchester and I am currently completing a PhD in Materials science. I am developing sensors using novel 2D materials at a world leading facility. I have tutoring experience in Maths, Physics and Chemistry.

I like to find out the strengths and weaknesses of a student and then target development of their weaknesses. I find that working through questions and examples is the best way to improve. I like to break down new ideas into easier to understand chunks.

Rory is a great tutor not only because he is reliable but also caring and a great teacher in the way he can keep students engaged with their subject even when they are finding things difficult and loosing interest.
Rory was an excellent tutor. He helped me in the run up to my GCSEs and we studied a lot of past papers. He is patient and attentive, and when I didn’t understand something he was able to explain it in a different way for me. I highly recommend him.
