About LaVerne
I am a mother and volunteer who has taught mathematics at the college level for over 8 years. In addition, I've tutored for over 20 years and love solving math problems. I also have several years of teaching developmental math and am a very patient teacher.

Usually, I like to begin our learning sessions reviewing what you already know or have previously learned. Then we build on learning using manageable chunks. I love to use games to shore up basic skills. Technology is useful for simplifying challenging calculations and making learning more engaging. I'm more focused on improvement vs. getting to the next topic.
