About Gonzalo
I have a MSc in Mathematics from the University of Toronto, a BSc in Mathematics and a BEng. in Civil Engineering from the UNAM and a specialist degree in Applied Statistics from the UNAM. I have been teaching mathematics since 2013 at undergraduate and high school levels. I have taught (both as a course instructor and as teaching assistant) courses on differential equations, calculus, dynamics, linear algebra, introduction to statistics and introduction to programming.

I pursuit that students make concepts their own, not only that they repeat procedures and methods, but that they learn to abstract and generalize in which the beauty and richness of Mathematics lies. I like to constantly ask questions, in a Socratic style, so that the students reach definitions, conclusions and methods by themselves, thus developing a true understanding of concepts as well as critical thinking.
