About Aniyah

I've worked with many students over the years, all having such vastly different personalities, behaviors, ideas, but I still treated each and every student with the respect and encouragement they deserved. I've always loved school since young. I've always been the student to try and help other students when I noticed that the teachers way of teaching wasn't quite connecting for them, and somehow after a bit of explaining they began to understand. Lately at the schools I do tutoring for so many of my new students start out with such a disinterest or misunderstanding of reading, that makes me them immediately not want to learn. But I'm here to help students push away that mental blocker and realize that learning and specifically reading can be super fun.

About the lesson

I'm a young tutor that recently graduated, and was devastated over the amount of students who didn't get to cross the stage. My main goal is to help correct this issue from the root, our youth! I want younger children who struggle with reading, to see that it isn't as scary as it seems.
A typical lesson plan is thirty minutes, depending on the student/parent, I will use a premade 5 activity lesson plan or a plan specifically catered to your child. The activities are fun interactive word lessons that go over all of the basics such as, phonics, letter combinations, ending blends, sounding out, reading fluency, and so on! Lessons are curated for students in grades k-6.
Though lessons are done virtually I still find ways to have the kids be able to physically interact with the lessons through handmade google slides/powerpoints.
