About FATHIMA

Hello! I’m Fathima Shimna, a graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and a deep passion for teaching young minds. I’ve always found joy in helping children understand and enjoy math, especially when it’s taught in a way that feels simple, fun, and encouraging. I chose to become a tutor because I truly believe that every child can do well in math with the right support and approach. Teaching gives me the chance to make a real difference—whether it’s helping a student grasp a tricky concept or watching their confidence grow step by step. My goal is to create a positive learning experience that helps students build a strong foundation in math, feel proud of their progress, and develop a genuine interest in learning.

About the lesson

Every child learns differently—and I believe in adapting my teaching to match each student’s unique needs and pace. I create a safe, encouraging space where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. My goal is not just to help children solve problems but to help them understand the "why" behind the math, building real confidence that lasts beyond the classroom.
