Super Tutor

Phoebe is one of our best English speaking tutors. High-quality profile and excellent qualifications, organised and responsive to lesson requests, appreciated by their students!

About Phoebe

I'm a TEFL-qualified English teacher and IELTS specialist based in Sydney, Australia, with over 20 years of experience helping ESL learners achieve their language and career goals.

Over the years, I have successfully coached students targeting IELTS scores from Band 4.5 to Band 7.5+ for migration, university admission, professional registration, and career advancement. My particular strengths are IELTS Writing and Speaking, where many students struggle to make progress on their own.

I am also a highly rated and fully booked tutor on Preply, trusted by students from around the world for my practical, supportive, and results-focused teaching style. Rather than relying on memorized templates, I teach proven techniques that help students communicate clearly, think critically, and perform confidently on test day.

Whether you're aiming for your first IELTS test or trying to reach a higher band score, my goal is to help you improve efficiently while building genuine confidence in your English.

About the lesson

I focus on practical, results-driven IELTS preparation rather than memorizing templates. My lessons teach students how examiners actually assess Writing and Speaking, helping them improve clarity, structure, vocabulary, and confidence. Lessons are highly interactive and include real exam practice, personalized feedback, proven writing frameworks, speaking strategies, and targeted correction based on each student's strengths and weaknesses.
Small (2-3 students only) group lessons: 50 minutes
