Chemistry is all about developing a sense of imagination and visualizations. Often students find the subject the most intriguing and the least interesting among the 3 subjects (PCM/PCB). My idea is to make them understand the very basics of chemistry without cramming at all, and to show them that this subject is as logical as maths and physics. Once you start feeling the subject, you'll fall in love with chemistry, the most scoring subject.
Recommendations
Recommendations come from relatives, friends and acquaintances of the tutor.
I was taught chemistry by Divik bhaiya in VMC during my JEE preparation in 2012. His methodology of teaching comprised of real life examples, flow charts which made me to retain the concepts for a long time.
He taught not only the subject but also the various life lessons which even today help me to take some decisions in life.
Besides even after such a long time he is always one call away only.He is one of the most amazing teachers as he explains the concepts by building up the analogy with real life so as to create the best possible picture in the minds of the students. I would highly recommend him as a candidate for the Chemistry teacher.
The way of teaching is extreme i myself attended his classes. The patience he had never observed in any other teacher. Show his keen interest in solving doubts wid the level he can match student thinking status.
Three hour session with Divik bhaiya and I started to enjoy chemistry in a new way! In the past, teachers have overwhelmed me with too much information, but what I loved about Divik bhaiya was that he didn't teach me anything that i didn't need to know!
And apart from chemistry, i learnt one important lesson of life from him - "Zara apne nazariye ko badal kar dekhne ki zarurat hai, Kabhi kabhi andhere me bhi chamak dikhaai de jaati hai ,Mauka mile to sadak kinaare sote bachchon ki muskaan dekh kar sochna, Kya tumhe jeet kar bhi kabhi itni gehri neend aati hai".
He used to say nothing that happens is bad. It's either good or very good!
I wish i could go back in time.. to learn more from him...I met Divik sir through one of my other subject teachers and some of the qualities that I noticed immediately after his initial classes were his deep knowledge and immense experience in the field of Chemistry.
Before attending his classes I was a student who was weak in this subject and had also developed an aversion towards it, Divik sir didn't just make chemistry a fun learning experience for me but also taught me the various principles to deal with problems and achieve more which are still useful till this date when applied to other domains in life except chemistry. Needless to say, my performance in this subject had improved drastically and I started to like the subject.
I would highly recommend Divik sir to anyone aspiring to clear competitive exams as he is truly the Heisenberg when it comes to teaching chemistry. As it is said “The mediocre teacher tells. The good teacher explains. The superior teacher demonstrates. The great teacher inspires.” For me divik sir is a great teacher.
Divik Bhaiya is an amazing teacher and a mentor to many students, including me. Apart from having immense knowledge of chemistry, he has this unique ability to explain even complex concepts in an easy manner. He loves teaching to the core and I have been so fortunate to be his student.
I still remember this time when he let me stay in his house for 3 days because I had continuous classes and he didn't want me to travel much. He has been my pillar of support during those 2 years of my JEE Preparation! And well, it is because of him that I don't hate chemistry now ;)A very helpful personality with thorough understanding of Chemistry, especially the organic part. His attention to details and very basics of each concept while teaching make learning chemistry a cakewalk. His prompt response to problems and inspiring words of wisdom have always been a blessing. I highly recommend him to everyone who want to excel in chemistry.
In addition to being the absolute best in chemistry, he is a superb person to counter your problems in the subject, or in life.
I owe my selection and my positive frame of mind to Mr. Divik!
ThankyouI have studied two years from Divik Sir. His level of commitment for students and towards teaching is unparalleled to anyone I have seen till now. Plus he clears the concepts very well and this becomes a major factor in scoring marks in papers. And the Continuous motivation he gives to students is also commendable .
Divik Sir tutored me during 2012-2014 in Delhi for JEE preparation.
For the period spanning over 20 months, Divik Sir followed a meticulously planned and structured approach.
We, as students enjoyed the classes and Sir made complex Organic Chemistry concepts lucid and straightforward.
Sir was always accessible and made sure all doubts are catered to.
I attribute my success in the JEE (Rank 1744) to Divik Sir.
On a personal note, we are still in contact after 5 years and he still mentors me as a friend, philosopher and guide1st chapter of Chemistry, Stoichiometry. In 1.5 years, I had read it 8 times, but never understood it. Hesitantly, I asked our new chemistry teacher to teach that chapter again from the beginning and he obliged.
It was 11 pm at night. I was getting my Chemistry doubts sorted on phone. Well, out of every 100 questions I did, I had doubts in approximately 25 of them. :p or perhaps more. This happened almost every week. For other subjects, doubts were discussed with friends because you cannot have a teacher to take out that amount of time, but in case of Chemistry, it was Divik Bhaiya.
Many more instances are there, about an almost impossible rather surreal teacher, but let me get to the point. It was 10th grade, I was not gifted in Science, and Chemistry was something I was not even interested in. :p.
Fast forward, 12th grade, boards and engineering entrance exams.
Chemistry is the only subject I am confident about. The confidence that comes when you are clear on fundamentals, the confidence that you can handle every situation because you know you have survived worse, confidence that comes gradually with time and becomes a part of you.
Chemistry was the only subject in which I scored well even in JEE. The only reason was, I had fabulous Chemistry teachers in high school and VMC. Having said that, hands down, Divik bhaiya is my favourite teacher, irrespective of subject, ever.
There are times when you study a subject, only because of a teacher. Maybe because you are afraid of him. Then because you start understanding it. And then slowly that subject becomes easy.
Very few teachers can explain well, in a manner that you understand every new concept then and there. I was lucky to find a few such teachers.
But I can’t think of a teacher who will always make time for every student despite having 100s of students. A teacher who could make more time to solve doubts than classes. Be it in class, after class, during lunch, in corridors- and when that was all not sufficient, on phone at all hours. It was like he was more concerned about our scores than us.
That kind of attitude, even after having such a mentor, after having someone who helped me that way, I would never be able to replicate for anyone, let alone 100s and 1000s of people.
That is one reason that makes him better than the best I have known.
It is been more than 6 years now, since I passed high school, a lot of intricacies have faded out with time. This is perhaps the essence that has stayed with me and every other person who had the fortune of being his student at any point of time.
From this point, this monologue goes a little off-context, but since I am not a formal student anymore. I will write this as well.
One of the most embarrassing day in my high school life was being scolded for writing about teachers esp. him, when I should have focused on studying (only to know when I completed 12th grade that he actually liked the one I had written for him).
I remember me and my friend being too sad to study, when he took an off for a month, not that we were passionate to study otherwise.
I remember not able to understand Chemistry taught by most teachers after he started teaching.
I remember being dead upset after VMC formally ended for me. I remember calling him after getting admission into college, and hearing his voice full of pride.
He had said- after students pass out, it is not the end of story. They become friends with their teachers. He has kept his word well. He is still always available for listening to our stories, frustrations, and experiences. He is still always giving us meaningful inputs. I am just happy that he is still the very same person I had known, I just perhaps understand his queer ways more now.
I am happy that he is still “Divik Bhaiya”. And he is a part of my life.
Though, it is hard to think of him as a friend. I will always be a fan.
A formidable teacher, a great mentor, a patient listener, a great poet and writer– an inspiration in every way. Let alone Chemistry, I am a better and stronger person because of him. And I wish he keeps inspiring this feeling in everyone he meets, far and wide.
He is an amazing teacher, with a lot of experience. his way of teaching is excellent. Morever he explains a concept so well that an individual is able to answer various types of questions based on that topic.
A teacher, an idol, a friend and a great human being are some of the terms that define this extremely talented and hard working teacher.
He will not only help you in ypur studies but give you something and someone to look up to.
His teaching skills are just great. He will not tell you to study yourself from this amd that book but will give you a really processed material along with a great and relevant question bank.
He is one of the prime reasons due to which I am currently studying in my dream college - IIT Delhi.I am currently studying in BITS Pilani,Pilani campus. He was my chemistry teacher and mentor in all sense. His teaching was amazing. The examples and analogies that he gives while teaching makes tough topics very easy to understand. By chemistry everyone thinks that you have to cramp lot of stuff but if you study from him the cramming portion will decrease exponentially. You wont get a better chemistry teacher than him.
Hands down the best teacher I had during my JEE prep. Brilliant conceptual clarity and style of teaching
An awesome motivational mentor who guided my both sons qualify jee adv.
He moulds the student to develop his generic skills. The teacher prepares a marvellous foundationand he is missed by his students always. He has good command over his subject.
Salutations.
