About Fin
I'm Dr. Fin Reid. I graduated with a PhD from Glasgow in 2025. I taught at the University for 5 years, mostly teaching pre-honours Philosophy as well as some honours teaching, guest lecturing and Summer School.
I have always maintained a high student satisfaction rate, as well as a high grade-average.
While some of the content changes, I am deeply familiar with the type of work universities want you to produce as I have guided students to excellent grades.

I help students with a result-focused approach to teaching. In my experience, the best way to secure an excellent grade at a pre-honours level is to understand how to structure your graded work as much as it is to have a good understanding of course content.
My 5 years of teaching has proven that this methodology works for undergraduates, and sets them up for success in Philosophy.
Typically, a lesson would be an hour. But for reviewing an essay, perhaps 2 hours depending on the help needed.
