About Saverio

I'm a PhD student in Economics and Finance at the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart and a research assistant at Ca' Foscari University of Venice.

I earned the Erasmus Mundus Master's in Quantitative Economics (QEM) at the Paris School of Economics – Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne, completing an international program spanning Belgium, Italy, and France. My master's thesis was selected to be presented at the Sorbonne Workshop in Economic Theory (SWET) 2026 in Paris.

Teaching is something I've always enjoyed, even before formally doing it. During my studies, I often found myself helping classmates understand topics that had remained abstract or counterintuitive in class. It was precisely in those moments that I realized how much I enjoyed making complex concepts accessible and demonstrating the logic that connects formulas, models, and procedures.

Today, I bring the same approach to my teaching that I use in research: rigor, attention to detail, and the habit of reasoning through problems rather than mechanically applying steps. With this profile, I want to share with students the working method I developed during my international training and which I continue to refine every day through research in quantitative economics.

My method starts with you: your thinking, the difficulties you encounter, and the goal you want to achieve.

The first lesson, which is free, is designed to understand these aspects. Together, we identify your starting level, how you learn best—tackling exercises directly or proceeding step by step—and the type of learning path best suited to your needs. From there, I build a personalized strategy. If your goal is to pass an exam, we work specifically on the syllabus, the most common exercises, and the difficulties that can slow you down.
If, on the other hand, you want to understand the material more deeply, we dedicate more time to theory, the connections between concepts, and in-depth analysis.

Lessons combine explanations, examples, and exercises, with active student involvement. My goal is not simply to guide you to the solution during the lesson, but to help you develop a method that allows you to tackle problems and exercises independently.

I have a background in quantitative economics and am accustomed to working with models, data, mathematical, statistical, and econometric tools. That's why I don't just explain a procedure: I try to clarify the underlying logic. Truly understanding means not having to mechanically memorize formulas and steps, but being able to reconstruct and use them through reasoning.

Each student also has access to a shared folder with notes, completed exercises, and supporting materials, so they have the entire course organized and always available.

The lessons are aimed at undergraduate and graduate students in Economics and related disciplines, both those starting from the basics and those tackling more advanced topics.
