About Angelos
I am undertaking an MA in Philosophy at the University of Durham (UK), from which I also hold a BA in Philosophy and Psychology. Currently, I take modules in phenomenology, ethics, aesthetics and I research the philosophy of religious miracles and the phenomenology of depression.
I specialize in philosophy of religion, phenomenology, existentialism, and metaphysics. I regularly participate in conferences and give talks in these areas.
Through university work and independent study, I have substantial knowledge of other areas in philosophy, including, but not limited to: ethics, aesthetics, epistemology, philosophy of language, logic, and political philosophy.
During my undegraduate in Psychology, I became interested and developed my knowledge in cognitive psychology, social psychology, evolutionary psychology, and developmental psychology. I offer lessons in these areas of psychology too.
I also have experience teaching philosophy modules to elementary and high school students.

During my experience in teaching philosophy and Modern Greek, I have found that each student learns better with a lesson plan tailored to her/his own style. The strengths and preferred teaching style of each student will be assessed prior to the lessons, so that the student gets to receive a high-quality, efficient, and effective learning experience.
Lessons aim to engage the student into the learning process. Rather than being passive listeners to a traditional-style lecture, students learn better if they actively take part in the material that is being taught and are being interactive. This, of course, can be adjusted to each student's needs.
Lessons begin by giving an account of the historical background of the field in question. Then, we move to address specific issues within that particular area in philosophy. This is done by creating a story around each subject, so that the student can engage and experience the lesson and learn to think for herself/himself.
