About the lesson

WHAT TO EXPECT: - I guarantee that over the course of our tutoring sessions, your child will develop a clear and detailed understanding of the essential concepts and skills in Math and English, and how to apply them practically to homework. - A focus on simple, step-by-step, clear explanations with an emphasis on 'the why', facilitating a very effective, clarifying, and enjoyable learning experience. - Lessons are interactive, dynamic, and tailored to your child's unique learning style and pace. I will focus on the specific areas that need improvement whilst building on your child's strengths. SIMPLE 6-STEP LESSON STRUCTURE: 1. Initial unguided attempt at problematic questions/material. 2. The 'Why': Assessment of comprehension, thought process, and problem-solving logic. 3. Identify and address underlying issues, key skills, and concepts. 4. Interactive and guided practice with new questions to solidify understanding. 5. Second unguided attempt at problematic questions/material. 6. Open-ended Q&A to identify and address further issues. LOGISTICS: One-to-one lessons. Lessons are taught online or face-to-face in a location agreed upon beforehand (e.g., home, library, park). I will create a plan before our lesson that addresses key concepts and questions.
