About Mireia
I discovered my passion for education when I started tutoring in First Year. So after a brilliant academic record, including achieving Honours at A-levels, I completed my Degree in Biology and I got my Master's Degree in Post-Primary Teaching, Professional Training and Language Teaching which allows me to teach, especilising in Science subjects.
During the 14 years that I have been tutoring students of ages 10-20, I have helped young people of diverse abilities prepare a wide variety of subjects (from students with serious problems of demotivation and lack of knowledge of study methods to gifted students).
I have extensive experience teaching both regularly (doing homework and taking the study of all subjects up to date) as well as preparing specific exams with limited time, obtaining excellent results in both cases.
One of my best students first came to me with no hope of getting any GCSEs and not only did he get them but he went on to A-levels and completed a Foundation Degree with my help.

Thanks to my tutoring experience I adapt to the needs and learning style of each person. Therefore, during the first sessions, in addition to advancing within the subject, I make sure to get a clear idea of the student's short and long-term objectives.
My passion for education translates in a focus on the development of study methods and basic academic skills. For example, my students internalize how to organize notes, create diagrams / graphs / tables, memorize effectively, write essays, etc., being able to apply this knowledge through various subjects and autonomously.
I consider myself an enthusiastic person who has the ability to motivate and guide young people so that they don't deviate from their objectives and don't feel defeated halfway through the academic year. Thanks to my approachable attitude and communication skills, I inspire trust and create effective relationships that allow me to guide my students towards academic success.
