About Jaryd

I remember what it felt like to be in high school struggling with math at times — feeling frustrated when concepts just didn’t click and losing confidence because of it. What really changed things for me was having a tutor who genuinely cared, someone who not only helped me understand the work, but also helped me believe in myself and approach challenges with a better mindset. That experience had a massive impact on me, not just academically, but personally too.

That’s one of the biggest reasons I’m passionate about teaching today. I know firsthand how much of a difference the right support and guidance can make in a student’s life. Math can be stressful and overwhelming, and I try to create an environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and learning at their own pace without feeling judged.

About the lesson

I focus on helping students truly understand concepts, build confidence, and develop problem-solving skills that improve long-term performance. I understand that every student learns differently, and I adapt my teaching approach to ensure each learner feels comfortable, engaged, and supported.

jaryd has been my maths tutor from grade 10 through to grade 12, and i honestly couldn’t have asked for a better tutor, he is incredibly patient and passionate about teaching, and he never moves on from a question until you fully understand it as someone with adhd and dyslexia, i used to really struggle with maths and often felt overwhelmed, but jaryd made learning feel easy and even enjoyable, he has a way of explaining difficult concepts in a simple, understandable way, and he always creates a comfortable environment where you can ask questions without feeling judged,

on top of being an amazing tutor, he’s also very funny and friendly, which made every lesson something i actually looked forward to, over the years we built a really close and supportive relationship, and i’m genuinely grateful for all the help, encouragement, and confidence he gave me, i highly recommend him to anyone looking for a maths tutor who truly cares about his students and their success
