About Kendall

I am a native English speaker from the United States with a New Jersey and New York Metropolitan area accent. I enjoy interacting and learning new cultures, and learning new perspectives from my students. I patiently correct and offer suggestions on how they can improve their speaking and better prepare for whatever life goal they are trying to accomplish.

About the lesson

I have 15 years of experience Teaching English as a Foreign Language. I received my TEFL Certification in 2011, and taught/tutored for several years abroad in Latin America and online. I have taught students of all ages. However, I specifically work with Young Adults preparing for or in college/university and Adults already working in their career fields. I have taught: Lawyers, Doctors/Other Medical Professionals, Government workers, Police Officers, Engineers, IT Professionals, Pilots, Entrepreneurs, Accountants, Undergraduate and Graduate students, Photographers, Artists, just to name a few. In my career I have a considerable amount of experience training students in Business English and preparing them for the TOEIC exam, as well as preparing students for the TOEFL exam. My main focus is English Conversation and one's ability to clearly speak and express their ideas in English.

In my initial class, I will work to determine your language level and needs. So I can better help you attain your goal.

During my standard classes students can expect to learn new vocabulary, listening skills, writing practice, and some grammar themes, however my class is not structured to lecture you in grammar. My class is focused on intensive functional English speaking and preparation. So if you are trying to prepare better for an interview, exam or presentation or just want to functionally be able to speak English daily, I seek to assist you with that.

My goal is to inspire my students to attain their goals, by being confident speakers on their jobs, in their daily lives and in their educational endeavors. I encourage consistent daily practice in studying English to advance. I have studied a language and know the difficulties and complexities that come with it. However, the main battle is one's confidence. So if you are reading this message, you are already considering improving your English skills. Now take the step of faith toward building your confidence in speaking and attaining your goals.
