About Ellie

Hi, I’m Ellie! I’m currently a Junior at American University in Washington, D.C., where I study law, justice, and political science. My passion for government and writing has shaped both my academics and my professional experiences — I’ve worked in the Oregon State House of Representatives, on political campaigns, and with Congresswoman Suzanne Bonamici’s office. Through these opportunities, I’ve learned how to take complex political concepts and communicate them clearly — whether in speeches, policy briefs, or essays. That same skill is what I bring to tutoring. I know how overwhelming government and writing assignments can feel, and I love helping students break them down into manageable steps. I specialize in writing, editing, and government coursework, and I focus on building confidence as much as building skills. My approach is supportive, patient, and personalized to every student’s needs.
