About Marianne

I have been a pianist since the age of 6 and a student at the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional de Cergy-Pontoise. I study anthropology, ethnology and ethnomusicology. I give piano lessons and music theory for beginners for 3 years. I adapt to the wishes of the student and his needs.

About the lesson

I am passionate about music, and try to transmit this passion in my lessons. The student plays small pieces with score and I accompany him, correct him and listen to him. The objective of the sessions is to know how to read a score and to be able to play it alone. I adapt to the desires of the students, to the repertoire they want to address. For music theory lessons, I try to explain why it is important to have some theoretical knowledge by doing fun and concrete exercises. I know that it is sometimes difficult to follow during musical training, that's why I try to explain each concept, so that the student understands the usefulness of what he learns. I sometimes use percussion to study rhythms, in order to do an instrumental practice during music theory lessons

Perfect!
