About Cody
•Through my experience as an educator I have learned that students approach learning in very different ways, and effective teaching requires the flexibility to adjust instructional strategies on the fly. I believe it is essential to recognize when students are struggling, identify barriers to understanding, and modify explanations or approaches to give every student a fair opportunity to succeed.
•I place significant importance on compassion and empathy in the classroom. Students at all levels are often balancing academic pressures with personal, financial, and professional challenges. Not every student who takes my chemistry lessons will be passionate enough about the subject to pursue a career in science; I believe educators should foster an environment where students are treated with patience and respect regardless of their levels of interest and mastery in the subject. Every student has something valuable to contribute to society, and part of effective teaching is recognizing and supporting that potential.

While foundational knowledge is important, I believe chemistry education should primarily equip students with broadly applicable problem-solving and critical thinking skills that remain valuable long after the specific course content has been forgotten.
•Custom lesson plans will be built for your needs. I strive to design learning experiences that encourage students to analyze, question, and apply concepts rather than simply memorize information for examinations.
