About Dawn

I have 14 years of professional adult and teenage ESL teaching, tutoring, and professional-grade editing (publications, reports, etc). TESOL certified. I specialize in Asian countries, primarily South Korean corporate executives as an independent contractor, including collaborations with employees of Samsung, Kia Motors, KOGAS, South Korean Ministries (general, art, and biotech), and university professors (Seoul National, EWHA Women's University). I am currently in the process of authoring a business-focused ESL textbook. I also have a degree in Biology, and have worked as a cellular biologist and ecologist. I am familiar with the technical language and statistics involved in scientific fields. I will help you build upon your foundational English nuance, vocabulary, style, grammar, punctuation, and flow. TOEFL and TOEIC tutoring is available as well. ***** I understand many of you have very busy schedules and may not be available for a video class. Due to this, I also offer TELEPHONE instruction and corrections at a discounted rate in 10, 15, 20, and 30-minute session increments. References available upon request; please don’t hesitate to ask! About the lesson

Everyone learns differently. Some learn best through vocalization, some by repetition, and some by writing. I prefer to tailor my tutoring style to your particular preference of learning.

I can provide all materials, you can – especially if it is something that needs to be edited, or we can do a combination of both.

Structure is often helpful if you are a beginner or intermediate, while some intermediate and advanced students like to mix it up with free-talking conversations as well.

I’m always interested in hearing what subjects inspire you, whether it’s for better job performance and confidence, or for personal use.

Interest creates a better learning environment! I am completely open to your suggestions (though I may suggest some as well if you are open to me doing so).
