About Jo
Hi! I’m Yolanda, a certified Gyrokinesis and Gyrotonic trainer with over 15 years of teaching experience and more than 25 years of personal practice. As a former professional dancer, I turned to this method to heal from chronic pain and multiple injuries—and it changed my life.
Gyrokinesis is a powerful and intelligent movement system inspired by Tai Chi, yoga, dance, and swimming. It strengthens deep muscles, improves posture, relieves tension, and helps sculpt the body with flow and precision. Through breath and circular motion, it also calms the nervous system and reduces stress.
Whether you're an athlete, recovering from injury, stuck in a sedentary routine, or simply looking to feel better in your body, this method is for you. It's even recommended by doctors and osteopaths across Europe for its benefits to the spine, joints, and overall well-being.

My teaching method and techniques are based on the principles of the Gyrotonic Expansion System and Gyrokinesis Method, focusing on fluid, circular movement patterns, breathwork, and spinal articulation to increase mobility, strength, and body awareness.
A typical session includes breath-centered warmups, focused sequences on posture, flexibility, and core strength, and ends with deep, meditative stretching to integrate the work. I tailor each class to the student’s needs—whether you're seeking better posture, pain relief, or improved athletic performance.
What sets me apart is my holistic approach, personal attention, and experience helping clients connect deeply with their bodies. I combine movement education with intuitive coaching to help each person feel stronger, more aligned, and confident.
These sessions are for adults of any level—beginners, dancers, athletes, and people recovering from injury or looking for mindful movement and longevity. Private or semi-private lessons are available, both in-person and online.
