About John
I began personal training in 1995 and began university lecturing in 1999. In that time I have helped hundreds of students achieve their qualifications and go on to successful careers. I have worked in situations from my group exercise and gym personal training through to Olympic and professional level coach education and athlete strength and conditioning. Alongside this work I have lectured at a number of UK universities delivering social science, sports psychology and research methods in addition to gym instructor and other professional courses.

Online teaching and mentoring available for lessons on academic and practical issues in sport and exercise. Able to support all ranges of learning from L2 gym instructor through to postgraduate education. Specialist in training theory, research methods and social sciences.
I am a fully qualified fellow of the higher education academy, recognised as a tutor by SportsCoachUK and CIMPSA. Full range of sports and exercise science can be supported, however I hold specialist qualifications held in sport psychology, strength and conditioning, sports massage and personal training.
