About Aurora
Hi, I'm Aurora! I hold a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry Education (B.S.) from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill — a top-ten public university in America with an outstanding chemistry and biochemistry program consistently ranked among the best in the country. I have 6 years teaching chemistry from middle school through college freshman year through online one-on-one sessions. My "chemistry before and after" technique was born from watching students underestimate how much they were actually learning — seeing their own dramatically improved explanations from the beginning to the end of a single lesson consistently produces genuine pride and renewed motivation that carries powerfully into subsequent sessions. I have helped students tackle everything from basic stoichiometry to complex AP and college intro chemistry with many earning AP scores of 4 or 5. I was honored with the Chemistry Education Growth Visibility Award by the North Carolina Science Teachers Association for my before-and-after growth documentation approach and its remarkable impact on student confidence and sustained motivation.
