About
Going beyond helping students answer individual questions correctly, my goal is to improve a student's understanding of the material on a deeper level. I impart a method of studying that helps them achieve being able to answer just about any question the may encounter in the subject and understand how much work it takes to become proficient in math.
I enjoy helping students overcome anxiety and stress that comes with studying math. To help them realize that with the right tidy strategy and perseverance proficiency in math, and anything else, can be made attainable.

I usually ask for students to have two separate composition notebooks: one to act as a "math journal" to include their insights with accompanying example problems when they make breakthroughs. The other notebook is a place to hold all the problems they power through when practicing between sessions. These problems may be talked about in our sessions or become accompanying examples for the math journal.
