About Iona
A LITTLE ABOUT ME.
A student of life with a passion for sharing knowledge and empowering others. I am 29 years old, was raised in the North of the England and have been living in Asia for the past four years.
My personal transformational journey has brought me closer to my authentic self, developed my self esteem, increased my awareness, improved my relationship to my body, improved my mental/emotional/physical/spiritual health, transformed my relationship with myself and others and brought more peace, joy and abundance into my life. My wish is to help others do the same.
Teaching has always been a natural passion of mine, I believe we are all teachers and can learn something valuable about ourselves and others from each person we meet. I believe in the power of using yogic philosophy as a tool to improve ourselves, our relationships and our lives. Sharing such knowledge and empowering others brings me joy.
I have been practicing yoga for 8 years and have 1 year of qualified teaching experience alongside 4 years of casual teaching experience. Additionally, I have 4 years of off the mat teaching experience as an ESL teacher. I am currently completing a mindfulness practitioner course and look forward to incorporating techniques into classes.

For me, Yoga is a journey of self exploration. It is a place of continuous learning and healing. Yoga lead me back to my body, to the innate wisdom it holds and helped me understand it’s language.
I want to facilitate others who are also dedicated to self-development and empower them to take charge of their own healing. It can be difficult to know where to start, therefore, I will design you a personalised program, incorporating various techniques you can use to begin your own journey of self discovery guided by yogic philosophy and your own intuition.
I want to connect authentically with my clients and create a compassionate space for you to explore your inner and outer world feeling supported and understood. I want to create a space of open communication and discussion. Teaching and learning is a two way process, I have as much to learn from my students as they have to learn from me. Therefore, I want to cultivate a place consistent review and reflection of student and teacher.
I offer 4 different types of classes:
1 on 1 Yoga Asana classes:
Choose from Vinyasa flow, Ashtanga, Hatha, Yin and restorative or a combination (1-2 hours).
Designed to your personal needs and goals.
Inclusive of short meditation and breath work.
Small group (2-4) Yoga Asana classes:
Choose from Vinyasa flow, Ashtanga, Hatha, Yin and restorative or a combination (1-2 hours).
Designed to the groups needs and goals.
Inclusive of short meditation and breath work.
1 on 1 Yoga for transformation classes:
Choose from Vinyasa flow, Ashtanga, Hatha, Yin and restorative or a combination (1.5-2 hours).
Designed to your personal needs and goals.
Additional focus on mindfulness, meditation, breath work and self development.
