About Gloria
I have + 10 yrs classroom experience in private and public schools, Community/Early Colleges and summer schools. I have experience in IB chemistry, STEM curriculums and standardized tests. College level Chemistry is my speciality. I prepare my students to become problem solvers in Chemistry, with a strong GPA performance and achieve high SAT scores. Due to my background in the industry and research, one of strongest qualifications is making the link real life chemistry to the content subject, making it easier for the student to understand the concept. Stoichiometry, Electrochemistry, Organic Chemistry, The Periodic Table, Atomic theory are some of my favorite subjects.

1) My strategy starts by making my students have a solid understanding of the most important and core topic in chemistry: ATOMIC THEORY. Students who master this subject are able to become problem solvers on everything else in Chemistry. 2) Then, Due to my background in the industry and research, for every topic or problem, my students are able to see the connection or practical application of the theory. Chemistry becomes "visible". 3) HANDS ON!! Practical Exercises and problems are present in every class. Chemistry requires a very logical reasoning. Hands on is a MUST for my students to be confident and on any topic in Chemistry. 4) I am always available for after hours questions or doubts.
