About Millie

I know how overwhelming studying can feel as a young person. I want to be able to provide extra support and confidence to young people to help them get through their school work, and even find their inner writer. I love to read and write, and have vast experience in doing so for a number of different purposes, both professionally and academically. I write as a crucial part of my 9-5 job, and write poetry and prose in my spare time. I will take the time to understand what each situation calls for, tailoring sessions to the individual, working with them in the way that fits them best.

About the lesson

I'm Millie and I would be happy to help you develop your English Literature and Language skills! Whether you are looking for support with Primary, Secondary, GCSE, or just general English skills, I will take the time to work through the areas that you need a little extra guidance with so that you can confidently reach your full potential. Sessions will last 1 hour, and I offer a free 30-minute consultation session so that we can get a clear idea of how we can spend our time most effectively. I have an A* in GCSE English Literature, an A in GCSE English Language, an A in English Literature A Level, and a Certificate of Higher Education in English and Creative Writing from the University of Surrey, as well as a First Class Honours in BA Politics from the University of Birkbeck. I have worked in press and communications for years, regularly writing articles for local newspapers, and am an accomplished speech writer. I have also been a qualified Bookmark Reading Volunteer, helping primary school children to enhance their comprehension skills and gain confidence to find the enjoyment in reading.
