About Bashnee Yonna

I am a very creative and innovative teacher with 8 years of primary school teaching experience and +/- 4 years of secondary school teaching experience. I have taught using the old OBE curriculum, CAPS, and the British Columbia curriculum. I try to use the best from all the curriculums, but essentially I will use the CAPS curriculum. My goal is to encourage and support you. I am very patient. You are my student/s I would like for you to tell me what you would like me to focus on.

About the lesson

I like using a very theme based TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) approach. It has a set structure of introducing the lesson goals, a model of what is going to be taught, practice, of the target language and lastly production where you the student must demonstrate what you have learnt. You will receive both formative and summative assessments and receive instant feedback on your performance. I will provide you with a formal report card to map your areas of strengths, and show you where more effort and improvement is required.

I would prefer if you the student comes to my home. In view of Covid restrictions, and safe guarding both you and I, this would be preferred if you would like face to face lessons. Otherwise, to cut costs, online will work much better.
