About Eliza
I am a first-year Biomedicine student at the Birkbeck University of London. English is not my first language but I've been learning it since I was 2 because of my heritage background from my father's side. I am a holder of a C1- Cambridge English Level 2 Certificate with an overall score of 195. I have been also giving private English lessons to the various ages of students. Accordingly, I implemented different teaching methods for younger and older pupils. Therefore based on my experience, I am able to provide interesting and effective teaching.

When I have lessons with younger children I always teach through fun and play. I use various games as kids tend to love them and this approach seems to be more efficient than just doing grammar exercises over and over again. I also try to share bits of knowledge about England itself as knowing about the country's culture is a very important part of learning the language in my opinion. As for teaching adults, I only have experience in oral lessons meaning having a conversation with my students in order to improve their speaking and listening abilities. Depending on my student's needs I am willing to match my teaching approaches in order for the most comfortable environment.
