About Terri-Lea

Hi! I’m Terri-Lea, an English tutor with a background in Environmental Management. I am a patient, supportive, and adaptable teacher who focuses on helping students build confidence and clarity in their English skills.

I specialize in breaking down complex language into simple, easy-to-understand steps, whether in grammar, writing, reading comprehension, or everyday communication. My goal is to make English feel less intimidating and more enjoyable, while helping students make steady, meaningful progress.

I tailor each lesson to the individual learner, working at their pace and focusing on their specific goals. I create a calm, encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and improving over time.

My lessons are suitable for English learners of all levels, from beginners to those looking to strengthen their academic or conversational English skills.

About the lesson

My approach to tutoring is patient, structured, and fully adapted to each student’s needs. I focus on making English clear and approachable by breaking it into simple, manageable steps. I use a learner-centred method that encourages active participation, questions, and steady confidence building through practice and repetition.

I am fluent in English and teach in English, focusing on clear communication and understanding at every level. I can support learners who may be more comfortable at a beginner level as well as those looking to improve academic writing, grammar, reading comprehension, or conversational fluency.

A typical lesson begins with a short review or warm-up, followed by focused work on a specific topic such as grammar, vocabulary, or writing skills. We then move into guided practice, where I explain concepts step by step, and finish with independent practice and feedback to reinforce learning.

My lessons are aimed at English learners of all levels, from beginners to intermediate students who want to strengthen their skills and build confidence.
