About Morgan

Hi, I'm Morgan, and I'm an English Major at Stetson University. I specialize in creative writing and have been published twice in a college journal. At Stetson University, I am hired as a peer tutor and have an entire semester worth of training in peer tutoring.

Expect tutoring sessions to be causal and stressfree. I will work to the student's strengths and learning styles while also ensuring that the sessions are fun. After all, writing is fun! If you're convinced you're a terrible writer, that's okay, I'll convince you that you can be a powerful revisionist!

I'm best for high school or college students looking to better their essay writing skills or literature analyzing skills. I can help you learn great tricks to building essays such as mastering thesis building and organization of an essay.

I am also very familiar with working with children, and I would be willing to help younger students learn to love to write as well depending on their curriculum.

Another fun fact about me is that I was homeschooled so I will be very familiar working with fellow homeschoolers!

I graduated high school with an AA degree from Northwest Florida state college, and am currently a senior at Stetson University for my BA in English. I am also apart of Stetson University's Sigma Tau Delta (English Honor society) chapter.

As mentioned earlier, I am also hired at the writing center at Stetson University and have studied peer tutoring and tutoring strategies through a class offered by the college.

I also volunteered for a short time at afterschool care at my local church, so I am somewhat familiar with working with children.

About the lesson

For any session, it's always important to have a goal in mind. When working with a new student, I want to first understand what they want to accomplish. It's also important for me to know about their curriculum. The audience is really important in writing after all! For new students who intend to work throughout multiple sessions, it would be great if they can send me a sample of their work.
