About Brandon

I am a fully certified teacher in history and the social sciences. I teach Virginia and US History, US Government, as well as Economics and Personal Finance at the high school level. I understand the value of a child's education as well as the difficulties many students face outside the classroom and how this impacts their learning. I account for these difficulties in my teaching. My goal is to provide students the skills and tools necessary to succeed in school as well as the 21st century work environment. I integrate the field of history and social science with critical thinking, reading, and writing skills in order for the student to find success in the 21st century workplace.

I hold a Master's degree in education and teaching. I am fully certified to teach history and the social sciences in secondary public schools. I have had real teaching experience in a classroom setting.

About the lesson

Set up individual goals and steps for achieving those goals. These goals are based on the student's individual abilities and learning styles. Goals are set to be challenging but also attainable for the student. The hope is once the student finds success in achieving these goals, they will find confidence in other areas of their education.
