About Dr Dee

I am a trained archaeologist, currently working in higher education and research. My academic background spans Classics, archaeology, and the study of ancient cultures, with a particular focus on how we understand and interpret the ancient world through language, material evidence, and texts. Alongside my research, I enjoy teaching because it allows me to share this interdisciplinary perspective with students and make challenging subjects feel accessible and meaningful. I am especially interested in helping learners connect language study with historical and cultural context, and in supporting students as they develop confidence, independence, and analytical skills through their studies.

About the lesson

I am a university lecturer and PhD-qualified Classics tutor offering expert tuition in Ancient Greek and Latin at all levels, from Common Entrance and GCSE through to A-Level and undergraduate study. My teaching covers grammar, translation, unseen passages, set texts, and essay writing, with lessons tailored to each student’s needs and goals. I place strong emphasis on clarity, confidence, and exam technique, helping students develop both linguistic accuracy and critical thinking skills. Lessons are supportive, structured, and adapted to different learning styles.
