About S SUMIYA

My name is Shaik Sumiya Sulthana, and I am a lifelong learner and a school teacher. I have dedicated 7-8 years to exploring English. I teach because knowledge isn't meant to be stored—it's meant to be shared and debated. I want to empower you not just to absorb facts, but to think critically, express yourselves eloquently, and understand the diverse world around you. Sharing this knowledge is how we build a generation of thoughtful, informed communicators.

About the lesson

Most reading classes treat texts as assignments; my approach treats them as tools. The difference is we move far beyond summarizing fiction to focus on practical reading efficiency and critical information processing. We'll utilize techniques like SQ3R (Survey, Question, Read, Recite, Review) and analytical speed-reading drills on non-fiction—articles, reports, and professional documents. You'll learn to quickly discern bias, extract key data, and synthesize information from complex sources, ensuring you leave the class ready for the demands of university and career reading, not just literary quizzes.
