About Lauren

I have experience in both creative writing, poetry, and academic writing; specifically in composition, philosophy, and neurobiology. I have learned how to construct a problem statement and thesis, organize an essay, and use proper citations. Since I attend a residential high school, I often help my fellow peers with their writing.

About the lesson

I am currently a high school senior that attends Arkansas School for Mathematics, Sciences and the Arts. I have taken several college level writing courses, and consider one of my best skills to be writing. I offer tutoring to students from grade school to seniors. I like to work with the student and help them understand whatever is troubling them!

A good teacher encompasses the qualities of kindness, positivity, and inspiration, and Lauren possesses these characteristics. With all of these traits at hand, Lauren can provide for students a stimulating and worthwhile experience. Lauren is open-minded, respecting different opinions and encourages critical thinking and questions about one's own beliefs which is important for a child's mental and emotional growth. I believe that she is a trustworthy teacher, considering all of the positive outcome Lauren can provide for her students.
