About Elise

I am an experienced English tutor with 6 years dedicated to academic writing and research development. I hold a BA in English with a concentration in Digital Media and Communication. My focus is on supporting university students who are working on complex research projects. I regularly work with advanced undergraduates, master’s students, and PhD candidates. I help students structure arguments that are clear, persuasive, and academically sound. Lessons include in-depth work on citation, source evaluation, and synthesis. Students learn how to build a consistent academic voice. I believe strong research writing comes from clear thinking. My teaching style is rigorous but supportive. I use real academic texts, critical feedback, and guided research exercises. Students gain practical skills they can apply immediately. Writing becomes more structured and confident. I encourage revision as a tool for growth. Each session is goal-driven and focused. Together, we can achieve academic excellence through precise and impactful English.

About the lesson

My teaching approach makes English fun, practical, and social. I focus on dating, relationships, and expressing feelings with clarity. Lessons cover how to read social cues and respond appropriately. I work especially well with immigrants and hobbyists, creating a safe, engaging space to practice. Role-playing conversations helps students apply language skills to real-life situations. We explore vocabulary for emotions, compliments, and building rapport. Lessons include playful exercises that make learning memorable. I also teach cultural tips, so students feel confident across different settings. Social confidence grows alongside English skills. Mistakes are treated as learning opportunities. I encourage creativity and humor in every session. Lessons are interactive, lively, and tailored to each student’s personality. Together, we make English a tool for enjoyable personal connections.
