About Brandon
I am a 2000+ player, which makes me the top “0.3%” on the chess dot com app.
I have a passion for playing chess, but just as much for teaching.
I got to where I am through much of my own experience, without knowing tons of theory.
It is my mission to help beginners to get extremely good at the game of chess, while also keeping alive their passion and love for chess too.
(Which strict teaching tends to kill off.)

Actually, all that is needed is to understand the basic principles, and understand them well.
