I base my class on where students are, and tailor them to where they need to be. The art industry has a spectrum of skills and I hope to be able to focus students on what interests them, but also push them to try other portions of fashion.
Classes start from the very basics of hand stitching and threading a sewing machine to level up into cutting and stitching full sized clothes. Advanced techniques like stitching leather garments and home decor are also taught if the learner is interested. Embroidery and crochet can be incorporated into the lesson if required.
my teaching methods are that I find out what the people already know and understand then I expand that with what I know and i try to make it fun and interesting so they don't lose the love and spark for what they want to learn.
My teaching method is directive. A typical class will follow my instructions to draft their measurements. Pieces, for example, a sleeve is taken home and completed on the sewing machine.
I teach all levels, from start to finish, striving to impart understanding of the principles and reasoning, rather than simply providing sets of instructions to follow. Through this, a student develops judgement and decision-making skills, rather than perpetually relying on instruction. A true professional seeks to rely on oneself, not others.
My teaching methods are focused on the real world. I prepare you for what you can expect in the field you're studying. We will relate real life skills to the topics you're studying so that you can be successful. We will also explore your creativity through these topics.
I use youtube tutorials when i want to learn something new or remind myself on how to do some knitting styles. I'm a curious person, always working on something or undoing/mending something or planning a new craft project. I want to create a safe and gentle group, to exchange in my spare room or in different locations.
I have a hands on approach. You would have the chance to learn sewing one on one while trying the techniques in person. I would also provide you some fabric to try some techniques either at home or while I'm teaching you.
I am a very patient teacher, i believe in repeating & showing the student different methods as not all students/learners, learn at the same pace I also provide small video clips for clients when needed, plus i give handouts and assign homework tasks to each learner, I have over 25 years experience working within the fashion industry on many levels, and now I am passing on my knowledge and...
There is a lot to take in when it comes to designing and constructing a garment and so much information can be confusing which is why I take an approachable approach to teaching. either a one to one session with information and techniques or classes with what you need learning from or a set class with bullet points of goals that will be reached during classes.
I tailor the learning program to suit students with varying skill levels, from beginners to more experienced sewers as well as children. Learning sewing skills is a challenging but fun process. At my lessons, students will learn through projects.
I am 40 years old, I have lived and breathed all kinds of design and sewing. My teaching is fun, informative and able to be adjusted for all kinds of experience levels. There are many facets to learn throughout the creative industry and am able to cater to the learners needs.
I focus mainly on the students weaknesses and then the engineer the classes on strengthening those weaknesses by having continuous critiques and practise sessions.
My teaching method is relaxed and encouraging. To begin with I like to try and find out what they know about the subject they need help with and what they feel they need help with. I will then formulate a lesson plan for each student individually.
I am a methodical and meticulous tutor. My lessons cater for the clients' needs- from the very basic and starting out to the nitty gritty and more advanced detail and skill of sewing. For each lesson a tailored list will be sent in advance for what will be needed to get started.
I teach with practical case study and smaller modules to understand the basics of the subject. It is twice a week for 1 hour each. Number of modules will range from 4 to 15 depending on the topics covered.
I like to teach based on how you learn best. Is it step by step? Is it demonstration first? Maybe its trial and error? I like to do what it takes to help you learn and even try new methods if one ins't working.
I tailor my teaching approach according to the students aspirations and needs and can cater for different levels of ability within a group. Lessons can contain some presentation and demonstration by myself but mostly students learn through guided practical work of their own choosing or as suggested by myself.
I am an Image Consultant experienced in design, garment repurposing and hand embroidery. Taught by instructors at the famous Mood Fabrics and F.I.T in NY. Offering sewing lessons where you will construct an accessory or garment from start to finish.
I am a very relaxed person and this is reflected in my teaching style. We start the utmost basics- what is a Sean and work upwards from there. Each individual will be at a different stage and these will be assessed and catered to at the start of the course. The end goal of the first set of lessons will be to decide to create a simple item and create it at the end of six weeks.
I will go through each step slowly making sure that you are at the same pace and cater the lesson based on your skill set. I am very friendly and easy going.
I'm a very hands on teacher, because that's the best way I learn. I've taught and worked with students at various levels for the past 5 years. They have really shown me how to adapt my lessons to the needs of the student.
I will offer hour webcam lessons in an area of your choice, whether you're wanting to learn the basics of machinery, or want some help with your latest project including tailoring. I bring a friendly approach and a visual method of teaching, talking and showing you through your personal project step by step.

I love to teach my students the best sewing construction and neatening methods to use and how to achieve quality garments that look professional and fit well. I try to approach teaching sewing differently than the way I learned.
My teaching method is to provide you with all the possible help to get your work done. I can give advice over the phone in person or video calls or online chat. I will listen to your ideas and give you advice on how to make it work. I will try and answer your questions to the limit of my knowledge.
My classes are based on each students independent focus and level. You can tell me exactly what you would like to learn to make or else if you have a specific skill you require then I can work out the project item for you to best teach this skill. I am happy to accommodate for multi level classes as long as you are all working on a similar themed project.
I am more than comfortable teaching beginners of ALL AGES, students - secondary, sixth form/collage or university. Lessons will be based around the pupil and how they feel comfortable depending on their level. I am chilled and like people to be relaxed, happy and open to asking questions and getting into the work.
