About Bidyut

I am Bidyut Dey, a WBCESE school pass out who is currently a BA student of Political Science at Calcutta University, Kolkata. I love to teach and I also love my subject and always wish to spread that love among my students. Since I am still a student myself, I know their mentality and needs and hence my classes will be full of fun, enjoyment, and critical thinking. I always believe in creating a friendly bond with my students. I always put emphasis on the fact that students should feel comfortable in my classes and should never hesitate to question and share their doubts and opinions. Political Science classes must be interactive and not like any other class. After all, I am a human and might not be always correct and hence my students also have the right to correct me in the areas where I am going wrong. Wish to have a journey filled with enjoyment, understanding, and knowledge.

About the lesson

Political science is different from other humanities subjects as other humanities subjects are mostly fact based and bookish, but political science is a complex blend of facts, theories, interpretations and reality. This subject can never be fully understood by bookish knowledge. Getting marks is secondary in my opinion but my main target is to make my student understand the core concepts and basics of this complex subject with reference to reality and by giving special importance to critical thinking. Once the students understand the basic concept of this subject, nobody can stop them from getting their desired result. The classes will be held in Google meet on a 1 on 1 basis, once per week which sums up for 4 classes per month. Each class will be of a duration of 1 to 1.5 hours and in that case there will be a monthly fee of rupees 500-700 depending on the class of the student. If I get multiple students of the same class and same board, I will take a group class once a week. The class timings shall be adjusted according to the needs of the student. If the student requires extra classes, that too will be provided.
