Postgraduate student studying an LLM in Human Rights Law at UCL. I have over four years of experience tutoring from Year 7 (11+), GCSE, A-Level, and right the way through to undergraduate students.

Seb supported me through my English lit A-level and helped me smash both papers at the end of year 13. Really engaging and passionate teacher, with a great breath of knowledge.

Seb is a fantastic tutor! He combines a distinctly lateral and pragmatic approach to diegetic elements with a strong grasp of language as an artform, all while keeping the character of his tuition accessible and entertaining. The unique cross section of his experience reinforces his angle on literature: while a legal education instructs a necessarily semantic, technical understanding of English, his theatrical background speaks further to the poetic filigree which underpins especially the classical content covered at GCSE and A-Level.

I couldn’t recommend Seb highly enough! He is incredibly knowledgeable, articulate and genuinely passionate about English, with a real talent for making even the most challenging concepts engaging and accessible. What particularly stands out is his patience, enthusiasm and ability to adapt his approach to suit different learning styles, building both understanding and confidence along the way.

Beyond his academic ability, Seb is approachable, encouraging and genuinely invested in helping others succeed. He has a brilliant way of making people feel comfortable asking questions and developing their own ideas rather than simply memorising information. I have no doubt that anyone learning with Seb would benefit enormously from his expertise and dedication. An exceptional tutor who I would wholeheartedly recommend!
