About Cypress
I bring four years of experience as an ESL and EFL teacher inthe Japanese education system with me to my lessons, as well as my ongoing work within American high schools as an office manager and student liaison who frequently and actively engage with students in an academic level. I’m also bringing my own eagerness as a student who’s eager to continue gain new skills so that I can better support you.

My lessons are tailored to what you need, not what I think you should know. Whether your a native speaker, an eager second or tertiary language learner, or a student at any level who needs support, together, we can find those necessary structures and help you find personal and academic success!
Each time we meet, we’ll review the previous lesson but also do a deep dive to see what your immediate needs are and what barriers to your success exist. From there, we’ll discuss effective ways to both cope with and overcome whatever stands in your way, which can range from reading aloud together, practicing syntax and structure, or even just engaging in casual conversations.
Lessons truly are what you need, not a set curriculum that I decide, so let’s make lessons that generate effective learning to last a lifetime!
