About Loïc

I began my drumming journey at the age of 8, receiving three years of private lessons at a local music school. Subsequently, I continued my musical education at the Conservatory of Music of Gatineau for seven enriching years. During this time, I had the privilege of playing in orchestras and participating in a percussion group, making it the best experience of my life. Since then, I've been passionately involved in both teaching and collaborating with other musicians. My aim is to share the profound gift of music with others, inspired by the joy and fulfillment it has brought to my own life.

About the lesson

As a tutor, my approach centers on creating engaging and personalized learning experiences tailored to each student's unique needs. I foster interactive learning through discussions, Q&A sessions, and hands-on activities. Emphasizing practical application is crucial in drum, marimba, and percussion lessons for reinforcing theoretical concepts, especially in physical coordination and rhythmic understanding.

In a typical lesson, I begin with a warm-up and review of previous concepts, introducing new material and engaging in hands-on practice. Constructive feedback, Q&A sessions, and discussions ensure a comprehensive understanding. Assignments are provided for continuous skill reinforcement.

What sets me apart includes over ten years of practical experience as a percussionist, adaptability to individual learning styles, and a contagious passion for music. My lessons cater to all levels, from beginners to advanced players, fostering a love for music while equipping students with the skills for their musical journey. In essence, my teaching philosophy centers on personalized, interactive, and practical learning. Join my lessons, and let the joy of music and percussion guide our path. Together, we'll make every lesson a celebration of your musical journey!
