About Eden

Hello! My name is Eden, and I am a passionate writing instructor at the secondary school and university levels. I have always loved reading and expressing myself through the written word, and I can't wait to share that love with you! I have taught writing-focused coursework in the social sciences and humanities for four years as a graduate instructor. I taught the basics of argumentative essay writing, creative nonfiction, research papers, and more to more than 400 students. Additionally, I have worked in public school systems for an additional two years as a tutor, classroom assistant, volunteer speaker, and more. I can't wait to put this broad range of experiences to work as your writing tutor - whether it's for traditional academic papers, job applications, creative projects, or anything in between!

About the lesson

Writing is a very personal process, and I expect my students to take an active role in their learning, so that I know what works for them and so that they feel engaged and in control of our sessions.

I draw on a wide range of methodologies in my teaching, but always begin by asking students to tell me their goals and priorities in a tutoring session so that I can design learning objectives to best help them achieve those aims!

Book an initial lesson with me to discuss your upcoming writing projects and goals, and what strategies we can use to tackle them! We will make a solid game plan to make your next writing project a success.

By learning with me, you will have an attentive, patient, experienced and personable tutor eager to support you in becoming a better writer.

Eden is an excellent career coach tutor! As a graduate student, I have gone several times to her to discuss and review my application materials for research and professional opportunities. Eden has always provided advice that contributed to creating documents that truly spoke to the audiences and institutions for which they were intended. More generally, she has helped me develop a CV and LinkedIn profile that highlight my skills and experiences. I wholeheartedly recommend working with Eden for any of your career coaching needs!
