About Alyssa

Hello! I'm thrilled to be your English tutor. I come from the vibrant country of South Africa. With five years of teaching experience across China, South Korea, and online, I've had the pleasure of sharing my passion for the English language with many students. In my travels abroad, I've learned so much about different cultures, and I can't wait to explore that with you. When I’m not teaching, you might find me working out, capturing beautiful moments with my camera, relaxing at the beach, or enjoying a good movie. I hold a 180-hour TEFL certificate, which has equipped me well for our learning journey. Together, we'll dive into fun activities and engaging conversations that make mastering English an exciting adventure. I can’t wait to embark on this journey with you! Let's get started!

About the lesson

I have real life experience teaching English which includes teaching at academies in both China and South Korea, as well as online. I have taught students of all ages and all levels, from complete beginner to well advanced. My lessons are student centred, well-structured and personalized towards your needs and goals. But most importantly I strive to make you feel comfortable. I really want my class to be a safe space where you can learn, improve and have some fun while doing so. I can help you with specific things like grammar, reading, tenses and test preparations. Otherwise, my classes will mostly be topic and conversational based. I like to cover everyday topics and interesting subjects.
