About Nicole

I am an experienced college English instructor with nearly a decade of teaching experience across multiple colleges and universities. I have taught composition, grammar, and academic writing in a variety of formats, including in-person, online, hybrid, and dual-credit courses. This breadth of experience allows me to adapt my instruction to different learning styles, academic levels, and goals.

As both an educator and a mother of three, I understand the importance of patience, clarity, and encouragement in the learning process. I strive to create a supportive, professional environment where students feel respected, capable, and confident in their ability to improve.

I am currently pursuing a doctorate as well, which allows me to stay engaged with current research, best practices, and evolving academic standards. My approach to tutoring is structured, personalized, and focused on helping students build lasting skills, not just complete assignments. My goal is to empower students to succeed independently and with confidence!

About the lesson

My lessons are designed to help students feel supported, capable, and confident in their writing. I believe every student can succeed when instruction meets them where they are rather than where they’re “supposed” to be. Whether a student is struggling with grammar basics, learning how to structure an essay, or refining academic and professional writing, I tailor each session to the student’s individual needs and goals.

As a college English instructor, I focus on building practical skills that transfer directly to coursework, exams, and real-world writing. Lessons are collaborative and encouraging, with clear explanations, guided practice, and actionable feedback. My goal is not just to help students complete an assignment, but to help them understand why something works so they can apply it independently moving forward.

Students who work with me gain clarity, confidence, and a stronger foundation in writing, which are all skills that support long-term academic success.
