About Ayat

Hi, I’m Ayat. I know how frustrating it can feel when a subject doesn’t click straight away, and I want to help students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and trying again.

Through my university peer mentoring role, I support students as they navigate new challenges. This has strengthened my ability to listen, explain things clearly and recognise that everyone needs different kinds of support.

I bring patience, preparation and a friendly approach to each lesson. Whether you’re struggling with the basics or working towards a higher GCSE grade, I’ll take your goals seriously and help you build your understanding step by step.

About the lesson

Chemistry can feel overwhelming when you’re trying to memorise something that hasn’t quite clicked. My approach is to break tricky topics into clear, manageable steps, helping students understand the science and feel confident applying it. Lessons would combine straightforward explanations, visual examples and guided practice, followed by exam questions to build confidence with answering techniques. I would adapt the pace to each student, making space for questions and revisiting anything that needs more attention.

A typical lesson would last 120 minutes, with time to recap previous learning, explore a topic and practise questions together. My lessons are aimed at GCSE chemistry students, whether they need help building their foundations, tackling difficult topics or preparing for exams.
