About Jill

Hello, I'm Dr. Jill Bartholomew, EdD, with Mad Wizard Tutoring. I am an experienced, certified, caring tutor who believes in growth mindset principles when it comes to learning. Just because my students find a subject or concept difficult does not mean that, together, we cannot master any learning task. I specialize in reading and writing skills and can offer K-12 level reading assessments. I also work with college and graduate-level students and adult learners, seeking to go back to college or just wanting to improve their reading and writing skills in general. About the lesson

Hi, I'm Dr. Jill Bartholomew EdD with Mad Wizard Tutoring. I have run my own tutoring company since 2020 and have helped many students from ages 5 through adulthood improve their reading and writing skills. I am familiar with the methods and strategies used by most public school districts and prefer to work with the student on their existing or upcoming assignments. I do offer diagnostic reading and writing assessments and use research-based strategies to strengthen my students' learning skills if there is a gap between grade level and coursework. I also offer test preparation, postsecondary writing and editing, and resume services. Remember Dr. Jill, the Mad Wizard Tutor. See you soon!

Perfect! My child loved working with Jill. She really tried to connect with him and find books that would help him enjoy reading.
