About Jayashri

Greetings!!! Thanks for viewing my profile.

I have always been interested in learning & teaching as it is a two-way process to achieve the desired outcome. I have been in the profession of teaching:

1. Elementary to High school (18+years)

I am very passionate about teaching children. Young children's foundation for success in further education and life depends on the foundation of learning provided in the earlier growing years. I aspire to offer them learning, resources and support to nurture their growth. I teach English, ESL, Math, Science, Social studies. I can assist with specialized test prep.

2. Bachelor's & Master's (10+ years)

I am highly experienced in private tutoring, group classes, coaching (life, subjective, psychological wellbeing, career) and mentoring students during my stint as a professor at B.S and M.S levels in colleges in various fields of Microbiology, Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Bioinformatics, and other specialties.

I also offer assistance in:

3. Interview preparation

4. Computer skills- Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.

5. ESL learning for young and adults

6. Specialized test prep for kids, young adults and adults

7. Homework assistance

8. Resume & Cover letter review/ preparation

9. Writing assistance- articles, essays, elevator pitch, etc.

10. Speaking with confidence (English)

11. Proofreading & editing

12. Data visualization

13. E-mail drafting

14. College Admission-search & prep & others

I gauge individual requirements & understand parent's requirements (in case of school students), figure out strengths and weaknesses.

Post this, I will create a workplan strategy to achieve the outcome that is most essential & conducive to achieving a collective outcome successfully. And the progress will be measured and monitored on a regular basis, depending on the duration of the classes.

I devise customized learning resources and strategies depending on individual needs, and it will be fluidic and subject to changes as deemed fit to support rapid growth & progress to achieve set goals.

Having pursued a Ph.D (Sci) in Biotechnology from Institute of Chemical Technology @ Mumbai, a premier institute in Asia, has taught and more importantly, refined many skills essential to teaching, research, communication, visualization, analysis, time management, soft skills, technical skills, coordination, collaboration, planning, meticulous execution, improvising, among others.

I will be adaptive to emerging needs/ sudden changes that might warrant immediate attention and new direction/strategy.

I look forward to connecting with you to see how I can assist you with your requirements and work together towards achieving your goals.

Best regards,

Jayashri Prasanan
