About Sarah
I'm an English Education student at Northern Arizona University. English has always been a passion of mine and I'm here to help spread the joy. Message me for more information if you're interested.
I had experience leading and teaching through roles such as captain on my sports team and section leader in the high school band. I found that I really loved teaching and I already knew I loved English.
I'm in my sixth semester out of seven in the English Education program at NAU. In my classes I learn about the content as well as trends and methods of teaching English.

It's important to me to get to know their interests first and foremost--an interested student is a student who pays attention and is excited to learn. Then, we talk about what it is they need help in a move from there.
I've worked with a pretty wide variety of students--if you can think of it, I've probably worked with them. There is one exception, however--I don't have any experience with ESL students.
Realize that there are tons of teachers out there and you shouldn't settle. Give potential candidates a starter lesson and if you don't mix well, move on and find another. It's very important to make sure that student and teacher are a good fit just as you would make sure your house/pet/babysitter is a good match.
