About Rilee
I received a full ride scholarship, including room and board, to a competitive, private university. I now have a 3.99 GPA in a dual-degree program. Since entering college, it has heen my goal to help other students achieve their academic goals, earn scholarships, and boost their confidence.
In 2017, I graduated high school early and became a certified substitute teacher and tutor. The joy of tutoring has inspired me to pursue academia, both teaching and research. If you need help with writing, reading, college applications, or social studies(history, government...), you can be confident that my experience and expertise will enable you to achieve your goals. After all, I am at the top of my class as a history and political science major.
In high school, I placed top 10 in the 2016 National History Day competition in D.C. I was also competitive in speech and debate at the state and national level. In addition to these activities, I participated in two statewide creative writing competitions. In addition to these competitions, I started my school's Young Democrats chapter as a sophomore. Finally, I won many competitions in band, solo classical guitar, and piano.
In high school, I was offered several transformative scholarships that enabled me to attend a private university for free, travel across the country, gain experience in my chosen career path, and network with professionals. When I graduated high school early, I suddenly had extra time. I decided that I wanted to help other students, especially working class, first-gen students like myself, achieve success in education and earn scholarships. That led me to substitute teaching and private tutoring for students in public school.
In 2017, I became a substitute teacher. After being hired in a multi-step interview process, I performed written and interactive training sessions to develop teaching skills. Within a year of becoming a substitute teacher, I pursued official certification in my school district.
In addition to my training as a substitute teacher, I am currently pursuing a dual degree at a private university. I have been selected for the President's List every semester. This honorary title is rewarded to the top ten students in each school.

First, I always do a fun icebreaker to get to know the student and share our interests. Second, I initiate a candid conversation in which I ask students about their goals, their strengths, the challenges they face in education, and the anxieties they experience towards certain aspects of schoolwork. Nexf, I like to learn more about the class structure and assignments. After that, I often obseeve the student's performance and offer some form of a diagnostic activity. This enables me to form a comprehensive tutor and independent study plan. Tutoring is fantastic, but many long-term academic success is formed through effective study habits. One of my primary goals is to equip students with the tools they need to succeed long after our tutoring sessions. After observing the student's performance, I will begin with a short lesson to foreshadow our next tutoring session. That is when we will really dive deep into the learning material.
I tutor many students with learning disabilities, including dyslexia and ADHD. I work with many students who are preparing college applications. I also work with many athletes and musicians who struggle to find time to study. Thus, effective study habits are especially important. These techniques are best learned in a 1x1 session with a tutor.

I charge a flat rate of $25/per session. Each tutor session lasts up to one hour. My tutor sessions rarely go beyond that time, but if it is necessary, I'd simply appreciate a tip for my time.
i only charge $15 to help students proofread, edit, and revise essays. These sessions are very educational, but they tend to be shorter than my usual tutoring sessions. This enables me to charge less per session.
